Accompanied by DIPRO Dr Lallawmkima, Ten (10) Members of Mizoram Journalist Association (Champhai) initiated one of the most interesting part of the projects i.e nature tour . The team flagged off by Hon’ble Minister EF & CC Pu TJ Lalnuntluanga in the presence of NLC Team departed on 18th September 2023 and set towards Himalayan Zoological Park, Bulbayan, GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Sustainable Development and Kanchendzonga National Park all located in Sikkim. Upon reaching there, they interacted with Scientists , a group of experts from Himalayan Zoological Park, Bulbayan, GB Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment and Kanchendzonga National Park. This particular tour aims at achieving certain objectives that can further improve and build up the ongoing works at NLC site located at Botanical Garden Zotlang, Champhai.

A successful Nature Tour was conducted with Govt. Champhai College Eco-Club, 47 students, 8 teaching staff and 4 Non teaching staff had attend this Tour, the Tour was accompanied by Lalthutiamthlenga Field Assistant N.L.C staff. The Tour was held during 8.02.2024 - 10.02.2024. The Team was flagged off by Pu Laldunthlana IFS, DFO Champhai Division. Tan Tlang was the 7th highest mountain in Mizoram, rich in Flora and Fauna and the wildlife have different kinds of species. The history of Tan Tlang was deeply important for the Mizo people. During the Tour the Team find out 16 different types of Bird species along with 59 different Tree species.
